How tuition works
What tuition depends on, how it is billed, and what happens when life gets in the way.
Tuition depends on the path you choose (the full program, little strings or private lessons) and on the length of the private lesson. We go over it with you at the placement visit, and it is on our enrollment page.
The path you choose
Thirty or forty-five minutes
Private lessons or the full program
Registration
A yearly registration covers your student file, the placement visit and finding you a weekly time with a teacher. It is due when you choose your teacher and your time.
Billing
Tuition is billed by term, or monthly if you would rather. Ask us which suits your family, and how months with a break are billed.
Help with tuition
Ask us whether help with tuition is open this month, at a placement visit or by phone.
Siblings
A second or third student from the same family is handled differently from a first. Ask us at the placement visit and we will explain how.
Missed classes and make-ups
If you tell us a day ahead that you cannot come, we find another time for a private lesson. If a teacher misses a lesson, we make it up. Group classes are not made up.
Instrument rental and the books your teacher chooses are separate from tuition. Ask your teacher before you buy or rent, because the right size matters on a violin and a cello.
